17 minutes

I came back home after watching a movie….washed my face and hands wiped it with the curtains of my room. I picked up my mobile phone to switch on the TV….had I gone crazy or those 17 minutes were enough to make me realize about larger issues in life which did not involve my personal problems. A 17 minute film stirs me and left a thought behind. This film talked about Manipur a state in north east India which is still struggling hard for independence from whom???
Our Indian army.

When I logged on in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manipur
Wikipedia. I read the problems of the people
But the problems shown do not give a complete picture rather a false picture.
There are brutal crimes imparted and to justify this I have 3 narrations.

A 17 year old girl was abducted while she was working in the fields by the Indian army men and then was raped and murdered, her body was thrown back in those green fields. To protest this cruel act 12 mothers stood naked in front of the government office for justice. The actions taken by these 12 women created a feeling of rebel in the city and then the entire city was under a protest. They called for a strike.
These women say, “We are naked in our clothes”
Justice is still not given.

A 15 year old boy was kidnapped by the Indian army has still not returned. This disappearance produced a shock in the city but justice still talks like a dead body smiling.

A woman is on a fast to protect the act by the government for almost one year. She has gone for a huger strike which the police names as suicide. in spite of her getting arrested and then returning back home which keeps happening on and off she continues the protest with the help of artificial food supplied through her nostrils.

I hope I have justified it. This is happening in Kashmir as well. I don’t know what I can do as an individual but I know that if this thought spreads like a fire in the forest things can change. Like how things are changing in Jessica lall’s case. If all of us come together for larger issues like this, we can help the people of our country who are fighting their own life guards. I aim on spreading this thought to create at least one spark for AN INDIA WHICH IS NOT INDEPENDENT.
